Bending application required precision Bending Die have a ground tube groove, counter bores, bores and all other dimension.
The bend die helps to prevent the tube flattening & forms a given radius of bend. The bend grooves should be dead round. Bending Die is also in split construction when bend angle is more than 1800 to remove bend tube & load material. Clamp die holds the tube in position while bending. Proper selection of material & heat treatment ensures long life clamping. Clamp length can be determined from part drawing & accordingly correct clamp can be suggested.

The purpose of the pressure die is to keep the tube against the bend die throughout the duration of bending. The Pressure die also keeps the mandrel in linear position & maintains a straight tube between tangent points of bend.
Spring back can be affected by locating & pressure of pressure die. Pressure die is adjusted for a light pressure against the bend tube. Hydrodynamics Machine Tools manufactures high quality pressure die to ensure dent free bending.
Hydrodynamics Machine Tools Manufactured wiper dies, are precision cut from pre-formed blanks of alloys steel & aluminum bronze depending on radius to O.D. Ratio and material to be bend correct wiper die can be suggested.
In many instances draw bends are required in material that is too hard, too thin or to shaped in such a manner that the metal on the inside radius of the bend forms a humps or series of wrinkles. The function of a wiper die is to fill the gap behind the bending form and confine the metal into a smooth, wrinkle free compression on the inside radius. Wiper Die should be 90% contact with bending die for longer life.
